Hi, I’m Maria Isabel, 41 years old, and I’m a single mom with two kids. I’ve spent 3 years working in Hong Kong and 7 years in Singapore as a domestic helper. My first employers were teachers, and I took care of their two kids. They treated me like family, so I really enjoyed my time with them. I worked hard to show my appreciation and loved the kids as if they were my own, always trying to protect them. For my second job, I worked for relatives of my first employers, taking care of an elderly mother and daughter. That experience made me realize that I really prefer looking after kids. I may not be the best cook, but I always show respect and feel very protective when I feel loved and accepted in a family. I’m back in the Philippines and looking for a new employer.
