Hello ma'am/sir, I’m Marilou, a 41 year old mother of two from the Philippines. I have 12 years of experience working as a domestic helper in Hong Kong. I completed my first contract with a Chinese family, where I worked for nine years. My duties included taking care of their newborn baby and their 8-year-old daughter, doing the grocery shopping, and handling daily housework. They relocated to the UK, which is how I found my next job with an Indian family. I have a reference letter from my Chinese employers. I worked for the Indian family for one year, from 2021 to 2022, taking care of their toddler until they moved to Singapore. My next job was with another Chinese family, where I took care of their newborn starting in November 2023 until June 2025, but they moved to Canada. After that, I worked for a Filipino bachelor from September 2025 until March 2026, but he had to move to Dubai for work. So, all my past employers have relocated! Working with these families has been a wonderful experience for me because I learned many new things. I’m a good listener and can work without much supervision.
