Hello, sir and ma'am. My name is Marriane Lorene, but you can call me Yan. I’m 29 years old, happily married, and I have a son who is 7 years old. I graduated from college, and I worked as an account officer for three years before becoming a domestic helper in Oman for 2 years. There, I took care of a family with two adults and four kids aged 7, 5, 3, and 4 months. My duties included looking after the kids, preparing healthy meals for them, helping them with school, and teaching them some basic English, reading, and math. I also cleaned the house, did laundry, and sometimes cleaned the car. After that, I worked in Hong Kong for 7 months with a family that included two adults, two kids (ages 2 and 1 month), and one elderly person. My responsibilities were similar, cleaning, taking care of the 2-year-old, and taking care of a cat. I cooked basic Chinese meals and did laundry as well. Unfortunately, I had to break my contract because of family issues and misunderstandings with my employer. But I really want to come back and try my chances again. I hope to find a good employer who treats me well. Working in Hong Kong will really help my family, especially my son who is in school now.
