Mercy

Hi there, my name is Mercy. I’m 43 years old and a proud single mom of three wonderful daughters. I have some college education, and I've spent quite a bit of time working away from home. I worked as a domestic helper in Kuwait for six years, from 2012 to 2018, with two different families. With my first employer, I took care of their newborn through to their second baby. In those first few months, I helped a lot because my female employer was new to being a mom. I would often sleep next to their first baby at night, and during the day, I’d take care of him, making milk, bathing him, changing diapers, and making sure he was healthy and happy. I also handled all the household chores, like cleaning, laundry, ironing clothes, running errands, and cooking. My second employer had kids aged 9, 7, and 5 years old, and I did much the same, caring for the kids while handling household chores. After my time in Kuwait, I worked in Hong Kong for four years from 2018 to 2022 as both a household helper and nanny. There, I cooked, did laundry and ironing, washed the car, went grocery shopping, and took care of toddlers and older kids. I helped them get ready for school, prepared their meals, and took them to and from school while also helping with their homework. My most recent role was in Dubai, where I worked for two years from 2022 to 2024 as a household helper, primarily focusing on kids aged 8 and 3. I assisted them with homework, took them to school, and participated in their daily activities like swimming, football, and workshops. We also enjoyed some fun indoor and outdoor activities together, like drawing, painting, and playing educational games. Right now, I'm back here in the Philippines, spending time with my daughters while running a small business to support our daily needs. I’m looking for work overseas again because I want to provide for my daughters’ education and needs.
