Hello to my future employer! My name is Mirriam, and I’m 36 years old, from the Philippines. I started my work journey as a domestic helper in Malaysia, where I spent 2 years looking after a beautiful 4-year-old girl. My main duties included caring for her, cleaning a two-story house, washing cars, gardening, doing laundry, and handling other household tasks.

After that, I moved to Hong Kong and worked for more than 8 years. My first employer had an energetic 8-year-old girl. I took care of her by waking her up, preparing breakfast, helping her brush her teeth, and getting her ready for school by putting on her uniform and making sure she had everything she needed. I would also accompany her to school and pick her up from her extracurricular activities. I helped my employer with dinner preparations and cooked as instructed. I did care for a turtle and a fish, and I managed all household chores. I always made sure to follow their rules and finished my contract.

Then, I worked for another employer taking care of three kids: two girls, ages 8 and 6, and a 4-year-old boy, along with one cat. My responsibilities included marketing, cooking as the family followed a vegetarian diet, ironing, doing laundry, cleaning, and handling other household chores. I completed that contract as well.

Next, I worked for another family with two boys, ages 5 and 6. I read stories to them, played with them, and supervised one while the other was cared for by their mother. This family required me to focus more on cleaning their 1500 square foot house, along with car washing, laundry, and other chores. I finished that contract, too.

Most recently, I was with a Chinese-Canadian family, taking care of two kids: a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl. My duties involved looking after the kids, managing household tasks like cooking, cleaning, ironing, and laundry, and strictly following the rules set by the family. Unfortunately, my contract ended because the family relocated.
