Hi, I’m Mylene, I’m 45 years old, and I’ve been working as a domestic helper for over 10 years now. I spent 8 years and 5 months as a nanny for a family with four kids, ranging from newborn to 8 years old. There are 6 members in that family: a sir, a madam, and their four kids aged 2, 4, 6, and 8. My main job is taking care of the kids, but I also help my coworker with cleaning the house, ironing, washing dishes, and sometimes I cook for the kids, too. Before that, I worked in Malaysia for 2 years as a nanny and an all-around helper for another family of 6. That included a grandfather, a grandmother, a sir, a madam, and 2 kids: one was a 4-year-old with autism and the other was a newborn. My main responsibilities there were looking after the baby and the child with autism, cooking, cleaning the house, and much more.
