Nilda

Hi, I'm Nilda Flores, and I'm 49 years old. I worked as a domestic helper in Macau from 2018 to 2021. My main duty was taking care of a 14-month-old baby girl. I also handled housekeeping and all the chores around the house. While my lady boss did the cooking, I prepared everything she needed so she could focus on her child's needs, including tutoring. When we visited her sister and mother, I helped clean their house too. It wasn't a full cleaning since we were only there for a couple of hours, but I just took the initiative to help out. They were all very kind to me and treated me like family, so I wanted to show my appreciation.

In my home country, I've also worked as a caregiver for a 25-year-old man with an autoimmune disease called AS. I went with him to all his doctor's visits until he had major surgery on September 16 for a total hip arthroplasty. I assisted him because he couldn’t walk on his own yet, and I also took care of grocery shopping and other household chores since his only companion at home is his 80-year-old grandmother.
