Rudmarie

Hello, I’m Rudmarie. I’m 33 years old and I’m from the Philippines. I have a 5-year-old daughter. I graduated from university with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I’m Catholic and I have one sister. My mom is a housewife, and my dad has passed away.

I worked as a housemaid in the Philippines from 2017 to 2020. I took care of a family with three members: one adult and two children who were 5 and 13 years old. My responsibilities included cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and ironing, washing dishes, marketing, and picking up the younger child from school. I also did some basic tutoring. I left that job to continue my studies.

In Hong Kong, I worked from July 2025 to February 2026. I was with a family of two: one adult and a 6-year-old boy. I handled household chores like cleaning, cooking, washing dishes, doing laundry and ironing, and taking the child to school. I also read books with him and helped with his homework. I left that position because my employer asked me to clean other houses outside of my contract, including his parents’ and brother’s homes, and I was only allowed to go out once a month, which felt like illegal work.
