Hello everyone, Good day!

My name is Victoria. I am 42 years old, married, and I have two kids who are now 20 and 19. Back in college, I attended the University of Bohol while working as a caregiver for a 72-year-old elderly person. After getting married, I raised my kids on my own since my husband was working when they were infants, and I didn’t have any help.

In 2017, I decided to look for a job abroad, and I chose Hong Kong because I believed I could earn a better salary to support my family. Fortunately, I was hired by Ms. Wong Mei Ling in Choi Hung, Kowloon. However, after six months, my mother-in-law, who had been taking care of my children, got sick with colon cancer. My family needed me to come home to take care of my kids because they didn't have anyone else to help. My employer was very understanding and allowed me to return home. She said I shouldn’t work while dealing with personal problems, and I was lucky to have such a kind employer. She even gave me three months off, but sadly, my mother-in-law passed away after two months. It was a difficult time for us. I decided to tell my employer to find a new helper since I felt it wouldn't be fair to keep her waiting when she needed help with her one-year-old child. Thankfully, they agreed to break my contract, and my employer said she would help me with a recommendation letter if I wanted to return to Hong Kong in the future.

Since then, I’ve been taking care of my kids, but I also needed to earn money, so I worked as a housekeeper here in the Philippines for three years, from January 2022 to January 2025. Last April, I reached out to my former employer in Hong Kong to let her know I wanted to come back and asked for her recommendation letter, which she kindly provided.

I consider myself to be a good listener, hardworking, honest, independent, proactive, a lover of kids, a cooking enthusiast, loyal, patient, trustworthy, strong, eager to learn, and capable of working without supervision.

To my future employer, I promise to complete my two-year contract and I am willing to renew it if you need me to. I am looking for work to support my kids in their college studies.
