Hello Madam/Sir, I am Merly, from the Philippines. I have extensive experience as a Domestic Helper in the Middle East. In 2000, I worked in Kuwait as a Domestic Helper for a household with 2 people. We were 2 housemaids; I cleaned the house in the morning and looked after two elderly people, reminding them to take their medicine. In the afternoon, I assisted my madam in her home office. I worked there for one contract, which was 2 years.

From 2003 to 2005, I worked in Dubai with a family of 4 members, including 2 adults and 2 kids. My duties were all-around housework, including cooking and taking care of the 2 kids.

Between 2008 and 2015, I worked in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, where I gained a variety of experiences. I was not only a Domestic Helper but also worked in a resort as housekeeping staff, as a waitress in a hotel, as restaurant staff in Jar bakery and restaurant, and in a nursery caring for babies from 4 months to 1 year old. In total, I spent 7 years in Dammam.

Following that, I worked in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a Domestic Helper for a Canadian family with 3 kids and 2 adults. They paid me a salary of 2000 riyals, provided an annual vacation to the Philippines with all expenses paid, and gave me Fridays off. They also paid my salary during vacations and on my birthday, and I received money gifts at Christmas and other occasions. I worked with them for 5 years but had to leave to care for my sick mother. When I was ready to work again, my previous employer no longer needed a housemaid as their kids were grown. I then briefly worked in Jeddah for two months before returning to my agency.
