 To the Employer, My name is Lea, I am excited to apply for the a caregiver position. Being in the health care industry has been part of my daily life whether it may be in work or in personal matter. The art of primary care and wellness has played a big role in my growth from the day that I was born to the date that I became Professional.

When I was fifteen (15) years old, I was tasked to assist in the care of my grandfather who then lived with us.  I helped feed and cleaned him. I also made use that he had light physical consisting of light massage on his legs and arms. We would also have recreational activities such as playing cards and “sungka”, a board game that required him to move his arm muscles and think. I further encouraged him to tell stories about his life and he would also tell me fictional stories which were popular during his childhood. From my experiences with my grandfather, I developed patience and insights on how to care and to make elder feel at ease and comfortable.  

My early experiences with my grandfather, inspired to become a nurse. As a graduate of nursing and later on as a licensed nurse, I was able to work with prestigious Institution located in different countries. I was exposed to, and handled numerous cases that enriched and widened my knowledge and skills. The fourteen (14) years of continuous excellent performance using The Person-Centered approach has brought me personal and professional satisfaction.The awards and recognitions that I have received during these years reflect the dedication that I poured into my work. However, what brought fulfillment beyond measures, were the smiles and the look of contentment from my patients; the noticeable changes day by day in their behavior as we interact; and the improvement in my patients’ conditions.

Finally, I am a committed, dedicated, loyal and hardworking person with good credentials. It would be an honor to be a part of your company as a caregiver.
