Marjorie

I'm Marjorie, 48 years old, and I’m married with two kids. I’ve spent 19 years working overseas as a domestic helper, and let me tell you, it’s been a beautiful struggle filled with lessons and sacrifices. I worked in Hong Kong from 2008 to 2012, where I was responsible for a 6 month old baby boy and a 20-month-old boy. I learned to manage my time and tasks well while handling everything from marketing to cooking, housework, and babysitting.

Then, from 2014 to 2020, I was in Beijing, where I tutored a 7-year-old boy in English. When I started with this family, he was just a 10-month-old baby. I also took care of some household chores, like cleaning and occasionally cooking. Now, I’m in Dubai, where I’ve been working for my current employer, a Dutch family with 2 adults and a child, since 2022. The family will relocate and I will be released on July 24, 2026.

My main tasks here are cooking, marketing, housework, and caring for a 4 year old girl, who was a newborn when I first arrived. I take her to her activities and school.

I’m hardworking and dedicated to my job. I take initiative and I'm always eager to learn more. I value honesty and trustworthiness, and I have a deep love for babies and kids. Being passionate and selfless in my work is really important to me.
