Premium Infant-Care Helper – Exceptional English

We are a warm Swedish-American-Chinese two-dad family living in Sai Kung area, looking for an exceptional live-in helper to join our family long term.We have two babies, currently around 4 months and 11 months old. Both parents have flexible schedules and are often at home. We are hands-on parents, but we want someone who can confidently and independently care for the babies during agreed periods.

Our priorities

Baby care is the most important responsibility: feeding, diaper changing, bathing, bottles/sterilising, baby laundry, naps, preparing baby food, walks, reading, singing and age-appropriate developmental play.When childcare allows, responsibilities also include normal household cleaning, laundry, organisation, simple cooking and grocery shopping.Exceptional English is very important to us.We are looking for considerably more than basic conversational English. The ideal candidate is fluent, articulate and expressive, with accurate grammar and a broad vocabulary.We especially value someone who is naturally communicative and engaging with children — someone who enjoys talking to babies throughout the day, describing things, asking questions, introducing new words, reading expressively, singing and telling stories. What matters the most is the richness and naturalness of the English environment you can create.

Preferred experience

Strong preference for candidates currently in Hong Kong who are finishing/have completed a contract, or whose employment ended because of employer relocation/financial circumstances.Genuine experience caring for babies under 12 months is important. Experience with newborns, twins or two young children close in age is especially valuable.Direct previous-employer references are strongly preferred.University education, teaching/ECE, nursing, caregiving or infant first-aid/CPR experience is a plus.You must be genuinely comfortable working for a family with two fathers.

Accommodation

We offer excellent private accommodation: a proper-size private helper bedroom with your own independent bathroom. The helper room is on the second floor with the main living areas; the family's bedrooms are downstairs on a separate floor. No room-sharing with children.We value privacy, respectful working conditions and genuine off-duty time.

Our family is primarily based in Hong Kong. But we also spend time at our home in the United States or visit family in Sweden. There may be an opportunity for our helper to accompany us internationally.

Driving is optional.

Salary: HK$8,000–14,000/month, depending on demonstrated English ability, infant-care experience, qualifications, employment history and references. Higher compensation may be considered for a truly exceptional candidate. Meaningful performance/long-term retention bonuses may also be offered.
