Family Cook Wanted, Female Only, Late August Start, Yanbu

We are an Australian family living in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, looking for an experienced full-time female cook to start in late August 2026. Our family consists of 2 parents and 4 children aged 5 to 13 years.

This is a cooking role, not a general maid role. You will be expected to work as part of a team with our live-in Filipino housekeeper.

• Main duties:
• Daily family meals
• Baking, such as birthday cakes, cookies, bread and lunchbox snacks
• Children’s meals, snacks and lunchbox preparation
• Kitchen cleaning and organisation
• Pantry and fridge tracking
• Weekly meal planning
• Grocery list preparation
• Grocery shopping

Cuisines: As a family, we eat a variety of cuisines. We mainly enjoy Western-style meals, but we also enjoy Italian, Asian, Middle Eastern and Indian-style food.

Important: A successful candidate must be confident enough to independently create a weekly meal plan, prepare a grocery list and complete grocery shopping with minimal supervision.

Language requirements: Basic conversational English is preferred.

Salary and benefits: 3000 SAR per month, plus benefits in line with Saudi labour laws and the agreed employment contract.

Room arrangement: We always try to provide each staff member with their own room and bathroom. We are planning to move soon, so if the villa layout does not allow this, there may be a requirement to share a room and bathroom with one other helper. This will be discussed clearly before hiring.

References and trial: References are preferred. We understand some candidates cannot safely provide a current employer reference. In this case, previous employer references, training certificates, cooking videos, photos of your work or other proof of experience may be accepted. A paid cooking trial may be requested if possible. If a cooking trial is not possible, videos of your cooking and a video interview may be requested before a final decision.

Current staff: Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to speak privately with our current Filipino housekeeper to understand our family, household expectations, and the type of employers we are.

Location and visa: We prefer applicants who are already in Saudi Arabia with a transferable iqama. Candidates outside Saudi Arabia or without an iqama are also welcome to apply.
