Domestic Helper – Childcare, Cooking & Household Support

Location: SingaporePosition: Full-Time Live-In Domestic Helper

We are looking for a responsible, warm and experienced domestic helper to join our family and provide support with childcare, cooking, tutoring and general household duties.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare

• Care for and supervise our 7 year-old child.
• Prepare meals and snacks for the child.
• Assist with school preparation, pick-ups/drop-offs and daily routines when required.
• Engage the child in age-appropriate activities, reading and play.
• Ensure the child's safety, hygiene and wellbeing at all times.
• Be patient, nurturing and attentive to the child's needs.

Tutoring & Homework Support

• Assist with daily homework and school assignments.
• Support the child with English, Mathematics and other school subjects.
• Encourage good study habits, reading and independent learning.
• Communicate comfortably in good spoken English with the child and family.
• Previous experience tutoring or caring for school-aged children is preferred.

Cooking

• Prepare healthy, nutritious and family-friendly meals.
• Comfortable cooking a variety of cuisines, especially Asian/Chinese and simple Western food.
• Able to follow recipes and learn new dishes according to the family's preferences.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organised.

Household Duties

• General cleaning and tidying of the home.
• Laundry, ironing and organising household items.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and comfortable home environment.
• Assist with other reasonable household tasks as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience with childcare, preferably with school-aged children.
• Good spoken English is essential.
• Comfortable helping with homework and basic tutoring.
• Able to look after dogs (if necessary)
• Confident and capable in cooking.
• Patient, kind, responsible and trustworthy.
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
• Good hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Willing to communicate openly with the family and follow household routines.
• References or previous employer experience are preferred.
