Senior Nanny / Family Support Specialist

About Our Family

We are a warm, multicultural family residing in Singapore. Our household consists of two working parents—Mom, who is Chinese-Canadian, and Dad who is British—along with our three young children, Grandma April, and two friendly cats. Currently, our household employs two helpers; one responsible for general housework and caring for adults, while we are in search of a second helper to serve as a Mary Poppins-style nanny dedicated exclusively to the children.

Role Overview

We are looking for a loving, structured, and experienced nanny-helper who can confidently manage the daily routines and development needs of three young children. This role requires collaboration with the other helper to ensure the household operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare & Daily Routine:

• Provide full care for three children aged between 3 and 6 years.
• Maintain daily schedules that include morning routines, school drop-offs/pick-ups, meals, evening routines, and bedtime.
• Prepare simple and healthy meals and snacks for the children.
• Manage the children's laundry and organize their wardrobes.
• Ensure that all children’s school homework and activities are tracked and completed.

Learning & Activities:

• Plan and supervise engaging after-school activities.
• Coordinate and organize playdates and plan children's parties.
• Support homework, reading, and basic educational routines.
• Inspire creativity through play and structured activities.

Behavior & Development:

• Teach children manners, daily routines, and emotional regulation.
• Provide gentle yet firm guidance for behavior management.
• Offer a calm and nurturing presence in the absence of parents.

Household Coordination (Children's Focus):

• Maintain tidiness in children's rooms, toys, and belongings.
• Work collaboratively with the other helper, who manages adult care and general housework.
• Provide daily updates to parents regarding the children.

Requirements:

• Strong, verified recommendations from previous families (this is non-negotiable).
• Experience in households with multiple young children, ideally with those aged 3 to 5 years.
• Exceptional patience; a calm, steady temperament is our number one priority.
• A minimum of 5 years of childcare experience, preferably with toddlers to early primary age children.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of Mandarin or French is a definite plus.
• Confidence in managing multiple young children and organizing children’s parties.
• A warm, patient, structured, and reliable nature.
• Strong organizational skills and proactive planning abilities for schedules and activities.
