Western Family Looking for Experienced, Independent Helper

We are a family of four with two school-aged children looking for an experienced, reliable, and highly organised live-in helper to become a positive part of our household.

We are looking for someone who is warm, honest, personable and easy to communicate with — someone with a positive attitude and good energy who helps the home feel calm, comfortable and pleasant. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent English are really important, as we value open, respectful communication and a natural, friendly relationship within the household.

Crucially, the ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, attentive to detail and able to manage her work independently while following a clear weekly household routine. We value someone who works efficiently, uses good common sense and judgement, and is open to feedback — able to take guidance positively, make adjustments, and move forward confidently.

The role is primarily focused on household management rather than childcare. Responsibilities include general household cleaning and tidying, laundry and ironing, making beds and changing linen, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, preparing breakfast, school lunches and family meals, following recipes, maintaining household supplies, and light outdoor cleaning.

Our children are school-aged, and we as parents take care of school runs, homework and their day-to-day activities. We would, however, appreciate someone who is comfortable with children and happy to provide occasional babysitting when needed.

We would ideally like someone with a stable employment history, including completed contracts or several years with previous employers. Strong references would be highly valued.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is dependable, capable, communicative and pleasant to have around — someone who takes pride in her work, brings a positive attitude to the household, and can build a comfortable and respectful relationship with our whole family.
