Ma. Linda

Hi, my name is Ma. Linda. I’m 52 years old, married, and I have five kids back in the Philippines. I’ve been working as a domestic helper in Hong Kong for almost 13 years now. With my first employer, I did a variety of household chores like cleaning, cooking, shopping, ironing clothes, and washing the car once or twice a month. I also helped take care of their 10-year-old daughter by bringing her to activities after school and on Saturdays.

With my second employer, I started working when the mom was about to have her first baby. After four years, they had a second child and then moved to Canada. My duties included taking care of the baby from when they were about three months old, as well as washing clothes, ironing, cleaning, and cooking.

Currently, with my third employer, the mom was also expecting her first child when I started. After about 18 months, they welcomed a second baby. My responsibilities are similar: cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing clothes, and taking care of the babies when they are around two months old. I will be finishing my current contract on June 25, 2026, and I’m hoping to find a new employer soon.
