Hi, I’m Maricel. I’m 45 years old and I’m from the Philippines. I’ve worked as a domestic helper for about 9 and a half years here in Hong Kong and then for 10 years in Saudi Arabia. Right now, I’m with my current employers who are two adults and one elderly person. I’ve been with them for just over a year, but they’ve decided to terminate my contract because the elderly lady wants to move to China. My employer mentioned that they won’t need my help anymore since her grandma is no longer with them. I will be released on August 1, 2026.
