Mary Grace

To my future employer, good day Madam and Sir. My name is Mary Grace Ilin, and I’m 37 years old. I’m a high school graduate and a mother of three kids—two girls aged 19 and 9, and a boy who is 4. I’m not married, but I do have a live-in partner. I worked abroad in the UAE from 2013 to 2015, where I completed a little over two years on my contract. My main job was taking care of three children aged 5, 2, and a newborn. I also did cleaning, washed clothes, ironed them, and cooked Arabic dishes.

My second experience abroad was in Kuwait, but it wasn’t a good one because I faced some abuse there. I worked for just over six months before the Kuwaiti embassy helped me return home to the Philippines. My tasks were similar to what I did before: cleaning the house, washing clothes, ironing, washing cars, and sometimes cooking Arabic food.
