We are a family of five living in a condo on Sentosa and are looking for a kind, reliable, and trustworthy live-in helper to join our family long-term. We have two young children, a 3-year-old toddler and a 2-month-old baby. The parents are very hands-on and involved with the children, and we are looking for someone who is comfortable supporting us in a structured and respectful household.
The main responsibilities include housekeeping and childcare. In the mornings, while the toddler is at school, the main focus will be on cleaning the house, doing laundry, and keeping the home tidy and organised. Around midday, you will collect our toddler from school. In the afternoons, the main priority will be caring for the children, including playing, engaging in activities, and supporting daily routines. About one to two times per week, you may be asked to take our toddler to a playdate, playground, or activity. Every Wednesday, you will take our toddler to football training.
Parents usually handle bathing and bedtime, but you will be shown how to assist or take over if needed, especially if extra support is required or when Sir is travelling. Sir enjoys cooking and prepares most dinners, but you may be asked to cook dinner about once per week. This will usually be simple Western food, and recipes and ingredients will be provided. You are welcome to cook for yourself at any time.
Working hours are generally from 7:00am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday, and from 8:00 or 8:30am to 7:00pm on Saturdays. Sunday is the rest day. These hours apply most of the time. On very rare occasions, we may need some flexibility, such as late-night babysitting or working on a Sunday. Any such occasions will always be fairly compensated with additional time off or extra pay.
The monthly salary is to be discussed, paid by bank transfer at the end of each month. The role includes one rest day per week, 14 days of paid annual leave, sick leave and emergency leave in accordance with MOM guidelines, and one return air ticket per year to the helper’s home country. Work on rest days or public holidays, if required, will be compensated. A discretionary bonus may be considered.
Accommodation includes a private room with a private bathroom and meals are provided. We value honesty and trust very highly and do not tolerate stealing or lying. Helpers must not be involved with loan sharks or loan companies in Singapore. We are looking for someone who is responsible, caring, able to follow instructions, and interested in a long-term working relationship.
Location: Sentosa, Singapore.
